The Iberville Parish School Board last week accepted the low bid of Guy Hopkins Construction for Phase II construction of the Math, Science and Arts Academy-East in St. Gabriel.
The board also accepted a $5,186 bid from Wright Exercise Equipment for the new athletic field house at Plaquemine High School.
The board also authorized advertisements for bids for repairs to the old cafeteria building at East Iberville Elementary and High School.
Board Member Brian S. Willis of Plaquemine, who chairs the Buildings and Grounds Committee, said the board also is looking into contracting for custodial services at two schools and is looking at playground equipment for the system's youngest students.
