On April 18, 2017, a team from HVAC Excellence performed an on-site evaluation of ITI Technical College’s Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Electrical Technology AOS and Certificate programs.
After a full day of interviewing students, program advisory board members, instructional staff, and administrative staff, and after evaluating the curriculum and facilities, the team members recommended to their board that ITI Technical College should receive accreditation. The team members gave particular recognition to ITI’s “being one of a handful of schools to have zero compliance corrections.” On May 25, 2017, the HVAC Excellence accreditation review board granted ITI Technical College a programmatic accreditation of six years.
Programmatic Accreditation: Programmatic Accreditation is an independent third party review of an educational program. The process validates that established standards of excellence for HVACR educational programs are met. These standards are designed to ensure that our future workforce receives the quality of training required to provide the skills necessary for success in the HVACR industry. Accreditation standards require a thorough examination of various components: mission statement, administration responsibilities, finances, student services, instruction design, program elements, physical facilities, equipment, tools, cooperative training, and instructor qualifications.
