According to reports from the Baton Rouge Police Department, two brothers have been arrested in connection with the 2014 murder of Charles “C.J.” Hills, Jr.

Dandre Brown, 28, and Dorsey Sims, 43, both of Baker were arrested on June 20 by the BRPD with assistance of the Louisiana State Police Task Force, according to a WAFB report.

Hills was initially reported missing by his family in January 2014 and his remains were found on the bayou bank in a wooded area in Rosedale on the evening of October 31, 2016.

The remains of Charles “C.J.” Hills, Jr. were identified by the Louisiana FACES Lab, as reported by the Post South and Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office in early March.

The FACES lab sent bone samples from the remains to the DNA Dept. at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and the DNA profile was obtained.  Iberville Parish officials were contacted on March 1 to confirm that officials found a match.

During the investigation, officials were able to determine that evidence suggests Hills was killed in the Baton Rouge area.

Brown and Sims were both booked into the EBR Parish Prison and are charged with second degree murder.
