Louisiana State Police reports that 19-year-old Bryan Manriquez of Port Allen was found dead in a single-vehicle crash on June 30.  Officials with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office and West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office were actively searching for Manriquez after he was reported missing on June 24, 2017.

He was last seen on June 24 around 5 a.m. when he left for his work in Geismar.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on I-10 west of LA Hwy 73 in Ascension Parish and troopers believe the crash  occurred the morning of June 24.

Just after 10 a.m. on June 30, Louisiana State Police found the scene of the accident, nearly a week later.

According to the LSP release, the crash occurred as Manriquez was traveling eastbound on I-10 in a 2012 Chrysler 300.  For reasons still under investigation, the Chrysler ran off the roadway to the left and entered the median where it struck a tree.

The vehicle continued eastbound in the median, struck a concrete culvert, and then entered a drainage ditch where it became completely submerged.

Deputies with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle on June 30 and promptly contacted LSP Troop A.  It is unknown whether or not Manriquez was wearing his seatbelt.  Impairment is not suspected, but excessive speed and rainy weather conditions are considered possible factors in the crash.
