Coach James Piker is hoping to break a four-game losing streak to give the St. John High Eagles their first win of the season when they face Highland Baptist Christian this Thursday night.

The home game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The Eagles lost to Covenant Christian 41-6 last week.

Leading the team defensively was linebacker Channing Holloway with 10 solo tackles, two for losses. Holloway also excelled on the offensive side of the line with four carries for 52 yards and a TD.

Covenant Christian quarterback Trenton Holloway connected on 60 percent of his passes, completing three of five for 30 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 41 yards in three attempts.

Austin Champagne also had a solid game with two touchdowns in four carries for 32 yards, followed by Devante Johnson with six carries for 29 yards and Blane Boudreaux, who carried the ball twice for 18 yards.
