A Plaquemine resident and native of Labadieville, Elise Hebert Banta will be sadly missed by her family. A homemaker, she passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec 27 at Baton Rouge  General Hospital (Bluebonnet). She was 86 years old.

So, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you. Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings. The God of all grace who called you t his eternal glory through Christ Jesus will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little. To him be dominion forever. A native and resident of Plaquemine, Colt Anthony Rivet passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2009. He was 26 years old and loved to fish.

Manuel Darrell Carline a native and resident of Plaquemine passed away at 3:40 P.M. Wednesday, September 3, 2008, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Pierce, Donald “Sonny”
