After wrapping up play at the Episcopal Tournament, the St. John Eagles faced 6-1A foe Southern Lab last week in a double-header and came out victorious in both tilts, 14-2 and 16-1.

St. John racked up a trio of runs at the top of the first in the first battle while SL mustered up just one.  Both teams blanked the second inning, but the Eagles repeated their first inning performance in the third with three more.  SL followed suit with their final run of the game.

St. John looked to put it away early with a five run performance in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Ben Bucher led the Eagles with a pair of hits, Adam Blanchard with one.  Reese Barrilleaux, Adam Blanchard and Tre Dupont each racked up a pair of RBIs.

LeBlanc took the win from the mound and threw 12 first pitch strikes and racked up 10 strikeouts.

The Eagles took a short break before taking the field in the second matchup against the Kittens, which ended after 4.5 innings with a 16-1 Eagles victory.

St. John put eight runs on the board in the bottom of the first, and held SL to just one run which came at the top of the second.

SJHS the racked up three more runs in the third and five in the fourth before blanking SL in the top of the fifth for the second straight win.

Bucher and Dylan Hurst each racked up a pair of hits in the win.  Hurst led with a trio of RBIs, Barrilleaux with one.  Hurst pitched all four innings for St. John and racked up 10 first pitch strikes and a pair of strikeouts.

The Eagles are 5-3 overall and 3-0 in district play.  They will take on French Settlement at home this week.
