Standout St. John Eagle Dylan Hurst was recently named to the Louisiana High School Coaches Association All-Star baseball East team.

The All-Star games between the East and West teams are set to be played May 19-20 at North Park in Denham Springs.

Hurst was listed to the East team as an outfielder, but he has done much more than that for his 2017 St. John Eagles squad.

“Dylan has played every position for us except first base,” head coach Chris Harrell said.  “He is one of our captains this year and has stepped in to a starting pitcher role as well.  I am happy for him to have this opportunity.”

Dylan hits in the three-hole for the Eagles and sports a wide array of talents that he contributes to his team, Harrell added.

Neighboring player Connor Manola of Brusly was named to the West team while Panther coach Tait Dupont of Brusly was listed as an Assistant Coach.
