BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana High School Coaches Association's annual coaching clinic began Tuesday at the Crowne Plaza and will conclude today.
The three day event includes a number of guest speakers and business meetings for coaches in baseball, basketball, football, powerlifting, soccer, softball and track and field.
Football and volleyball rules clinics are also being conducted.
Among the speakers are Texas A&M basketball coach Billy Kennedy and University of Louisiana at Lafayette football coach Mark Hudspeth.
LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and running backs coach Frank Wilson were expected to speak at the barbeque Wednesday.
Redemptorist's Terence Williams takes over as LHSCA President for 2013-14. Franklinton's Shane Smith is the first vice president.
Donaldsonville's Jay Dykes was elected as the second vice president for the LHSCA during the business meeting.
