BATON ROUGE - The enrollment period for the new health insurance marketplaces established under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act started in October.

While 7,700 Louisianans have applied online for coverage so far, due to software glitches with the Healthcare.gov website, less than 400 of the state's residents have successfully signed up for insurance.

Louisiana Public Broadcasting's Louisiana Public Square will discuss some of the main questions concerning the insurance exchange program on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.

Up to 20 average citizens will get a chance to voice their opinions on the subject and question experts on the issue.

For more information, contact Kevin Gautreaux at 1-800-8161, ext. 4218 or visit the Louisiana Public Square website at lpb.org/publicsquare.
