PLAQUEMINE - The Women's Elite Club of Plaquemine recently presented four debutantes during their 43rd Debutante Cotillion held at the Carl F. Grant Civic Center.

The theme of the event was Women's Elite Presents "Past, Present, Future."

Brianna Profit, daughter of Barry Profit and Chandra Jackson of White Castle, reigned as queen of the ball.

Honored as maids were first maid Britney Brooks, daughter of Charles and Vera Brooks of Plaquemine, second maid Desshernay Georgetown, daughter of Ricky Thomas and Desdemona Georgetown of Plaquemine and third maid Alma Jones, daughter of Vernon and Lillie Jones of White Castle, third maid.

Serving as escorts were Marcellis Coleman, son of Marcellis Coleman, Jr. and Shannon Coleman; Keathon Williams, son of Chavala Popleon-Taylor; Eric Carlin son of Eric Carlin, Sr. and Diane Carlin and Dontrell Taylor, son of Bryant Jones, Sr. and LaTyra Taylor.

Princesses were Dawnnetria Jordan, Latravida Johnson and Kurisen Thomas.

Angels were Chancelor Anderson, Kennedy Thibodeaux, Paige Hall and Paris Hall. Serving as Usher was Damicah Carter.
