RAMAH - State Police will arrest the driver of an SUV that traveled over the side of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge on Saturday killing a women passenger at approximately 8 p.m. for negligent homicide.
The 2002 Dodge Durango flipped over a guardrail on the elevated part of Interstate 10 falling into the basin near milepost 132 after the driver’s vehicle veered left and struck the south guardrail before overcorrection caused it to roll onto its side and strike the north guardrail traveling over the side of the bridge.
