PLAQUEMINE - 18th Judicial District Attorney Richard J. Ward Jr. report the following defendants pled guilty for the week of June 16 before Judge Alvin Batiste.

The pleas were obtained by Assistant District Attorney Timothy Collins.

-Ernest Mitchell, 54, 69605 Bayou Road, Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession of schedule II CDS and sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections concurrent with credit for time served.

-Terrance A. Joseph, 18, 58813 Allen St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute a schedule I CDS and sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections, which was suspended and placed on three years probation.

-Henry J. Camel, 38, 32720 La. 405, Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession of schedule II CDS, obstruction of justice and resisting an officer and sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections and 90 day in the Parish Jail which was suspended and placed on seven years probation.

-Freddie Blanchard, 28, 76925 Garner Land, Grosse Tete, pled guilty to possession of cocaine, illegal use, consumption, possession or distribution of CDS in presence of person under 17 years of age and possession of marijuana and sentenced to six years probation.

-Todd Brown, 24, 23460 Wilbert St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to possession of schedule IV CDS and sentenced to three years probation.

- Michael Fontenot, 47, 11559 Kirby Road, Denham Spring, pled guilty to theft of $500 or more but less than $1,500 and sentenced to three years probation.
