Plaquemine High, White Castle, East Iberville and St. John each had a number of basketball stars named to their respective All-District teams this week, including PHS head coach Donald Johnson awarded Coach of the Year.

Plaquemine High, White Castle, East Iberville and St. John each had a number of basketball stars named to their respective All-District teams this week, including PHS head coach Donald Johnson awarded Coach of the Year.

Representing PHS for the 6-4A first-team is standout D.J. Marshall, who has been a dominant force in the middle for PHS.  Starting on the second-team are Louis Conerly and Darwin James.  Honorble mentions are Cameron Garner and Kirkland Jones.

Charleston Spears of PHS was awarded the Defensive MVP award for 6-4A.

Iberville athletes populate first-team for 8-1A All-District.  Leading the way for first team is Quantae Johnson of EIHS, who was also named MVP for 8-1A.  JaTyre Carter and Samson Westley, standouts representing White Castle, also found a spot on the first-team roster. 

8-1A second-team players are Devin Johnson from EIHS, Jarell Dominique from WCHS and Hayden Hemenway from SJHS.  Honorable mentions include:  Devin Brock, Gavin Landry, Gavin Primeaux, Collin Crockett and Bryce Rivet from SJHS; Malcolm Calloway and Sean Griffin from EIHS; and JaCorey Washington and Harold Zachary from WCHS.
