Friends of St. Paul Church, Inc. will host their annual Outdoor Mass and Fall Fundraiser on Sunday, September 25.

Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Joey Angeles at 10 a.m. on the grounds of St. Paul Church in Bayou Goula.  Complimentary jambalaya and hot dogs will be served, followed by a silent auction inside the church building.  Proceeds from the auction as well as the second collection will go towards the restoration of the historic building.

The entire steeple of St. Paul’s Church was destroyed in 2008 by Hurricane Gustav.  After seven years of hard work and the generosity of many, the steeple was completed and raised in December 2015.  Proceeds from future fundraising efforts will be used on the next phases of the restoration, namely a new electrical system followed by the painting of the interior of the building.

The group still seeks help for the event.  If you would like to volunteer and/or donate an item for the silent auction, please contact Susan B. Landry at 225-964-8908.
