Last week it was shared what a balanced Christian life should resemble. If honest, many would say this was not the case for them. And for those berating themselves over this news flash, stop!

"Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones."

Last week it was shared what a balanced Christian life should resemble. If honest, many would say this was not the case for them. And for those berating themselves over this news flash, stop!

This is why the lord has brought you and I together to learn the truth and dispel the enemy's lies.

As mentioned, long ago, I, too, chased the American dream of freedom and prosperity while unknowingly in most (but not all) areas, absent of Christ. Also shared was that my bricks in life were made of material gain and pride. Both were not of God.

What came next when this occurred, I became too BUSY (Being Under Satan Yoke) and wrapped up in the ride to see the danger just up ahead.

It is time to balance the scale.

Recall the primary function of a scale is to weigh the value of an item against that which is on the other side for balance. In the beginning both sides are of equal weight.

Let's imagine you have a scale along with some bricks in front of you. Place on the left side of the scale all that you value most in life according to what is written on your bricks. It is important to be honest and transparent before the lord, who knows and sees all. As you look to the right of the scale does it appear empty?

How do you balance the scale in your favor?

It begins with what truly lays within your heart. And what standards of living do you measure against your bricks to balance the scale?

"He has told you, oh man, what is good, and what does the Lord require of you except to be just and to love (and to diligently practice) kindness (compassion). And to walk humbly with your God (setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness)?"

Let's go to the right side of the scale where the plate is empty. Who or what is in the center of the plate to create balance?

"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."

Many will place on this plate a brick that reads: "I am a good person who loves the lord and attends church."

Have you ever heard of faux brick? It is a brick that is made to look real but holds no substance. In other words it comes with no real weight behind it. When it is believed this is all that is required to live a balanced Christian life you have now walked into the enemy's snare.

The faux bricks come in a pair of three's and are sent by the enemy (who is also called the thief). The enemy's aim is to kill all hope and dreams, steal your joy, peace, and rest in the lord, and to destroy your faith and trust in God.

There is great news!

You only need one brick to balance the scale of life and his name is Jesus!

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Christ must be the center of your life to remain steady (emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually) when experiencing adversity by the enemy because you are standing in the perfect will of God and in victory when you have overcome the snares of the enemy.

You hold the keys to unlocking a balanced Christian's life, which comes by faith in Christ. No longer believe the lie you can do with this life separate of Christ. It matters not what you have done in the past, present and yes even the future mistakes. He has paid all your debts (sins) with his blood on Calvary.

"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace."

You are precious to God, and he loves you very much.

Will you accept him into your heart today?

Will you balance the scale in your favor beginning with his love for you?

By your own free will, you accept Christ as lord and savior. Do not allow this moment to pass; tomorrow is not promised.

To make sure you will be heaven bound to be with our lord and savior, a relationship with the son of God must be established. There is no other way to the father but through the son. When you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Please repeat this prayer: "Lord Jesus, forgive my sins I committed against you. I believe Jesus died for my sins and has risen again. Please come into my life and heart and lead the way. I confess you as my lord and savior from this day forward. In Jesus' name, amen."

Welcome into the family of Christ.

Until next week, be blessed and continue to bless others along the way. Go in peace.
