4-H Livestock Show Team kicks off season

The Iberville/West Baton Rouge Parish Livestock Show will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. 4-H'ers will exhibit poultry, goats, sheep, swine and cattle. Show admission is free and open to the public.

PLAQUEMINE - The Iberville/ West Baton Rouge Parish Livestock Show Team will kick off its 2014 show season Jan. 17-18 at the C.M. "Mike" Zito Multipurpose Center.

All fourth-sixth grade 4-H'ers are invited to join local livestock exhibitors by participating in the "AgOlympics" on Friday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.

The "AgOlympics" is a series of games using farm equipment and products.

The Iberville/ West Baton Rouge Parish Livestock Show will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. Fourth - 12th grade 4-

H'ers will exhibit poultry, goats, sheep, swine and cattle.

Show admission is free and open to the public.

The Iberville/ West Baton Rouge Livestock Show Team will compete at the Acadiana District Livestock Show Jan. 29– Feb.1 at the Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette.

The team will also compete in the LSU AgCenter Jr. Livestock Show Feb. 8-15 at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.
