LAKE CHARLES - Career educator and current A+PEL staff member Jennifer Andrews was recently promoted to Deputy Director of the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana.

Andrews taught middle school science and social studies in Ascension and Iberville Parish and served as an assistant principal in Tangipahoa parish.

She manages professional development programs for teachers that increase student achievement and teacher self-efficacy centered on the CCSS.

She also enjoys working with teachers in professional learning communities, which allows teachers to share their uniqueness collaboratively with others in an effort to increase their pedagogical skills.
