Metrejean convicted of rape, kidnapping
PLAQUEMINE - A grand jury returned one true bill on indictment against Bernie Metrejean on the charges of aggravated rape and kidnapping Jan. 9.
The defendant was arraigned Jan. 22 with Judge William Dupont presiding.
18th Judicial District Attorney Richard J. Ward Jr. also reports the following convictions before Judge Alvin Batiste:
-Rusty Clark, 32, 37163 Charlotte Ave., Prairieville, convicted of illegal possession of stolen things and sentenced to 11 months in parish jail.
-Tyler Martinez, 32, 6209 Deanna St., Brusly, convicted of principal to forgery and felony theft and sentenced to five years probation.
-Harvey Pugh, 59, 25201 Patreau Lane, Plaquemine, convicted of third offense operation of a vehicle while intoxicated and sentenced to five years probation.
-Suzette Wallace, 55, 58145 Fort St., Plaquemine, convicted of principal to simple burglary and sentenced to three years probation.
-James Edward Lewis, 56, 57839 New Erwin Drive, Plaquemine, convicted of sexual batter and indecent behavior with a juvenile and sentenced to seven years probation.
-Darrel W. Camper, 56, 58120 George St., Plaquemine, convicted of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and sentenced to five years probation.
-Kenji M. Jenkins, 30, 23030 Jade Drive, Plaquemine, convicted of two counts felony theft and sentenced to three years probation on each charge.
-Wendall Level Herring, 19, 8211 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, convicted of illegal possession of a firearm and aggravated flight from an officer and sentenced to three years probation on each count.
