BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana State Police have awarded Acadian Ambulance and Air Med with their elite Distinguished Service Award.

The award is bestowed upon entities that are friends and comrades of the LSP and go above and beyond in serving their communities.

The award is not a recurring award, but instead a special recognition given on an as-earned basis by the Louisiana State Police to acknowledge those that go above and beyond.

Acadian Ambulance is committed to their patients and their communities. They are an emergency and non-emergency medical transportation provider to Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi.

Air Med is a national leader in air ambulance medical transports, flying more first response missions than any other air medical program in the country.

Since 1971, Acadian has provided the highest level of emergency medical care and transportation possible. In the past decade, the company has expanded to include a diverse suite of services in health, safety, and transportation.
