District Attorney reports multiple convictions

PLAQUEMINE – 18th Judicial District Attorney Richard J. Ward reports the following convictions Feb. 4 before Judge William Dupont.

- Darrius Wilson, 20, 23025 Jacob St., Plaquemine, convicted of distribution of schedule I controlled dangerous substance, distribution of schedule II controlled dangerous substance and sentenced to a total of seven years with the Department of Corrections with three suspended. Once released, he will be placed on probation for three years.

- Carl Adams, 34, 57765 Lindburg St., Plaquemine, convicted of simple burglary and sentenced to seven years at the Department of Corrections with four years suspended.

- Keith Lathan, 20, 37393 La. 23, Buras, convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and sentenced to six years at the Department of Corrections which was suspended and placed on five years probation.

- Justin Christmas, 28, 58630 Allen St., Plaquemine, convicted of felony theft over $500 and sentenced to five years to the Department of Corrections of which four were suspended and placed on four years probation.

- LeKevin Mitchell, 37, 25185 Patreau Lane, Plaquemine, convicted of simple burglary and sentenced to five years at the Department of Corrections which was suspended and placed on supervised probation for five years.

- Bradford Louis, 23, 24665 High School St., Plaquemine, convicted of simple burglary and sentenced to three years at the Department of Corrections which was suspended and placed on supervised probation for three years.

- Curby Broom, 22, 57345 Cpl. Herman Brown, White Castle, convicted of felony theft and sentenced to two years at the Department of Corrections which was suspended and placed on probation for two years.
