MSA-West Varsity Excalibur Dance Team competed at the Walt Disney World Resort on Feb. 1 performing at the Wide World of Sports Complex on the Varsity Area capturing a “Superior” rating in the competition. To qualify for the opportunity to compete at Disney, according to team faculty adviser and MSA-West teacher Jessica Millien, the team won first place for their Home Routine at the Universal Dance Association Summer Camp at McNeese last June and earned all blue ribbons for the week of tough competition. “This is an exceptional team and they deserved an opportunity to perform on the Disney stage,” said Millien. The team danced to a hip-hop musical mix. The team is comprised of 14 team members, who compete for the MSA-West team. They are from left, front, Captain Brooke Devillier, Co-Capt.
