St. John School Auction marks 160 years April 5

PLAQUEMINE - The 2014 St. John Auction will take place April 5 at the Carl F. Grant Civic Center.

St. John the Evangelist School is celebrating 160 years of Catholic education and the auction is its largest fundraiser.

The doors open at 5 p.m. followed by the silent auction at 5:30 p.m. and live auction at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

About 150 silent auction items and 50 live auction items will be available.

Food will be served from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Jambalaya and shrimp fettuccine are on the menu as well as a large assortment of sweets for dessert.  A cash bar will run throughout the event.
