PLAQUEMINE - Plaquemine Main Street Program members recently attended a state-wide board with volunteer training in Baton Rouge.

Annual training is required to maintain Plaquemine’s current status as a Louisiana-Designated Main Street City.

Plaquemine Main Street Program was started in 1993.

The Louisiana Main Street Program office presented two-day sessions on the Main Street Four-Point Approach of Design, Organization, Promotions and Economic Restructuring.

The Four Point Approach Committees work towards community and business goals, design guidelines review, volunteerism, and public education with outreach tips.
