St. Amant arrested for theft

PLAQUEMINE – The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a St. Amant man in theft of pipe fitting worth over $80,000.

Raymond Meyer, 23, Spellman Lambert Road, St. Amant, was arrested March 21 after detectives received information that Meyer unlawfully returned to his former place of employment and took stainless steel fitting valued over $82,000.

Meyer was arrested for theft over $500 and criminal trespassing and booked into the Iberville Parish Jail.
