Baton Rouge man arrested for meth lab

PLAQUEMINE – The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Baton Rouge man in the production of a meth lab.
Deputies were dispatched to a scene in reference to several suspicious items located at a residence in St. Gabriel on March 23, according to Sheriff Brett Stassi.
Narcotic agents confirmed the items were known indicators for materials used in the creation of clandestine laboratories.
Nicholas Manuel, 43, 18353 Westwood Drive, Baton Rouge, was arrested at the scene the following day. He was found to be in possession of additional materials similar to those found at the scene.
Manuel was charged with two counts of creation of a clandestine laboratory and booked into the Iberville Parish Jail.
