Capital Outlay Funding includes west bank connector

BATON ROUGE –Governor Bobby Jindal recently announced the capital construction proposal for the next fiscal year, which includes millions in funding for projects in the Capital Region.

The proposal was submitted last week to the Legislature in the form of House Bill 2 and includes several key investments in higher education and infrastructure projects.

Higher Education investments in the Iberville Parish area includes:

· $1.65 million in new Priority 5 funding for the Westbank Connector in Ascension, Iberville, and West Baton Rouge Parishes.
