29th Annual Gray Monkey Parade April 11

PLAQUEMINE - The 29th annual Gray Monkey Parade will roll once again Friday, April 11 at 12:30 p.m. on Railroad Avenue.
As always, the parade is open to any pre-schoolers in the parish who would like to participate.
There will be parking available in the public parking area behind the Veteran’s Memorial adjacent to City Hall and available along designated streets.
All participants should line up at noon at the parade’s starting point at Meriam Street and Railroad Avenue next to City Hall.
The parade will start at 12:30 p.m. from Meriam Street and cross Railroad Avenue, then turn left and move down the Avenue to Main Street.
It will U-Turn at Main Street and come back on Railroad Avenue to end back on Meriam Street.
All entries must be walking or hand-pulled. No bikes, motorized vehicles or pedal-powered riding toys such as “Big Wheels” will be allowed.
This policy is to insure the safety of all participants. Members of the Plaquemine City Police Department and the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office will be present to monitor traffic.
