Plaquemine pair plead guilty

PLAQUEMINE – 18th Judicial District Attorney Richard J. Ward Jr. reports the following defendants pled guilty April 7 and were sentenced by Judge Alvin Batiste.

Pleas were obtained by Assistant District Attorney Dana Larpenteur.

- Frenton D. Askins, 22, 24147 Dunn St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections.

- Huey J. Perrera, 78, 36121 La. 75, Plaquemine, pled guilty to illegal possession of stolen things and sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections, which was suspended and placed on probation for three years.
