Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site hosting concert series

PLAQUEMINE – The Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site will be the site of four Saturday concerts throughout the month of May.

The site is located at 57730 Main St. and admission is free. You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and ice chest.

It is all part of the Music on the River Concert Series. The performances last from 6-9 p.m.

The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Plaquemine Lock and the Plaquemine Main Street Program.

“Bring your dancing shoes and pass a good time,” park manager Stanley Richardson said.

The Swinging Willows perform standards from the 40s and 50s May 3 followed by Loose Endz May 10 with a blend of Rock-n-Roll and Swamp Pop.

Wild Card from Addis plays May 17 with a variety of everything and Unfinished Business wraps up the series May 31.
