BATON ROUGE - City of Plaquemine Mayor Tony Gulotta recently proclaimed Saturday, June 7 as Get on Board for Better Health Day.

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Axiall are presenting a free health fair with health screenings and education free to the community.

Join us at the Plaquemine Civic Center on Saturday, June 7 from 8 am to noon for a day all about your health. Free screenings include Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Glucose, Stroke Risk Assessment, Colorectal Cancer, Cholesterol, Vision, Heart Rhythm Screening, HIV and Skin Cancer.

The Plaquemine Civic Center is located at 24700 J. Gerald Berret Blvd., Plaquemine. In addition to free screenings, the Plaquemine Health Fair includes major prize giveaways, free t-shirts for the first 500 participants and activities for children.
