The 2014 American Studies Conference, “War's End: 1864-1865 in Louisiana,” will be held in Baton Rouge on Friday, June 20 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the LABI Conference Center.

Featured speakers will include Charles Elliott, Professor of History at Southeastern Louisiana University; Dr. Robert Peters, Headmaster of Central School; Dr. Donald Frazier, Professor of History at McMurray University; Edward O. Cailleteau, member of the Louisiana Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission; Andrew Capone, President of the Fort Butler Foundation; and Wayne Cosby of the Camp Moore Board of Directors.

Historian and educator Roger Busbice will serve as coordinator for the seminar, which is sponsored by the J. Y. Sanders Foundation.
