ST. GABRIEL – MSA-East students were recently selected to two separate programs to help build leaders.

Quantae Johnson was selected by the Louisiana Gear Up state office to attend the 2014 National Gear Up Youth Congress in Washington, D.C. in July with other students from across the country for a program of professional leadership development.

Frederick Bell was also selected to serve as an alternate on the Louisiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council.

The council consists of 21 youth from each state congressional district and civic organizations, to represent their generation before the Legislature and work on issues of concern to today's youth while learning how government works.
