Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. John 1214 celebrates 80th Anniversary

PLAQUEMINE - The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. John 1214 celebrated its 80th Anniversary June 9 with a banquet at the Knights of Columbus home.

Special guest speakers were Rev. Bishop Robert Muench and Rev. Gregory Daigle.

The court was awarded a congratulatory certificate from the City of Plaquemine by Mickey Rivet.

Barbara Gerace and Ann Marix were presented 50-year member awards. Not present was Louise Junot.

Mary Lee Ourso and Ann Ruiz were presented 25-year member awards. Not present was Jeannie Pizzolato.

Perfect attendance awards were also presented to 11.

Regent Marion Badeaux introduced the new officers elected by the court.

They are regent Rose Pizzolato, vice-regent Verlee Guilbeaux, recording secretary Beth Mumphrey, financial secretary Kathleen Clement and treasurer Roxanna Aillet.
