It’s the final week of high school football for some area high schools, while some will position themselves for playoff rankings – while some need tonight’s game to get a post-season berth. It’s all tonight in Week 10 action.

Plaquemine travels to Livonia, St. John tangles with visiting West St. John and East Iberville travels to face 8-1A champion White Castle.

The Plaquemine Green Devils need a win tonight at Livonia for a chance at the Class 3A playoffs. Plaquemine (4-5, 1-2) fell short in four overtimes last week against St. James, which claimed sole possession of the District 8-3A championship.

St. John, meanwhile, ends regular season action against the visiting West St. John Rams in what should be one of the tougher district battles this season.

After coping with injuries that led to four consecutive losses, the St. John Eagles can thank power points for most likely putting them in the playoffs. The Eagles lost their only district game to White Castle, but coasted past East Iberville, Ascension Catholic and Christian Life.

Kickoff at Andrew Canova Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

The White Castle Bulldogs, meanwhile, can ease into the playoff mode after chalking a 4-0 district record as they entertain East Iberville at Rocky Ourso Stadium in a 7 p.m. kickoff.

In other action tonight, Port Allen hosts Brusly, Ascension Catholic faces Christian Life, Southern Lab battles Kentwood, Catholic-Pointe Coupee tangles with False River Academy, Donaldsonville meets Dunham, Episcopal faces East Feliciana, Catholic meets Zachary, Woodlawn locks up with Istroumaand St. Michael plays Glen Oaks.
