Schools, offices closed in Iberville

Schools in Iberville Parish – along with nearly the entire state – will be closed Friday, as Louisiana remains under winter storm warnings.

No road closures were reported as of 10 p.m. Thursday, but the threat of frozen precipitation could lead to shutdown of bridges and other roadways in the area.

Officials from the Louisiana State Police have urged motorists to avoid unnecessary travel as the threat for ice buildup remains.
