Plaquemine Lock House windows tinted

The Friends of the Plaquemine Lock applied for and got a grant from Dow to tint all the windows in the Gary Hebert Memorial Lock House. 

Sun Scape completed the job yesterday and it will provide protection of the historic photos and documents that are on display for years to come. 

The lock house is a Dutch type of architecture, which is unique for south Louisiana and the many windows were used for ventilation when the lock was in operation, according to Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site manager Stan Richardson.
