IPRD, WATD announce partnership

Iberville Parks and Recreation and We Are The Difference, Inc. announces a partnership.

IPRD and WATD have joined forces to bring even more exciting activities to our parish.

The combined forces have begun a walking group at Belleview District Park. The group meets three evenings a week. Walking is open to everyone.

IPRD and WATD currently co-sponsor “Cookies and Canvas” once a month. This is a painting class for children. There is a fee associated with this activity but many of the proposed activities will be free.

Some planned activities include Movie Night for youth, Bike Night for youth, Bridge and Canasta card games during the day for our adults. There will be line dance lessons, Safety courses for ladies, bus trips, scrapbooking day, Cookie Swaps and much more.

Currently they are looking for people in our community willing to share their talents. If you quilt, crochet, make candy, decorate cakes, knit, make flower arrangements/wreaths or have any other talent you would like to share with others contact Rhonda Harrell at 687-2029.
