DA Richard Ward conviction report

District Attorney Richard J. Ward Jr. reports the following convictions on April 15, 2013 in District court before Judge Alvin Batiste:

-Carl Battiste, dob 2/2/61, of 58465 Capt. T.T. Harris, Plaquemine, pled guilty to Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling.  His sentencing is set for June 12, 2013.

-Eric Skidmore, dob 7/14/72, of 58548 Jetson Ave., Plaquemine, pled guilty to Criminal Damage to Property between $500 and $50,000 and Theft of $500 or more but less than $1500.  Sentencing is set for June 12, 2013. 

-Timothy Simoneaux, dob 1/20/86, 62750A Bayou Jacob Rd., Plaquemine, pled guilty to Theft of $1500 or more and Possession of Marinjuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids – Third or Subsequent Offense.  Sentencing set for June 12, 2013.

-Landry Buggs, IV, dob 11/24/92, of 57910 Center St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to second degree battery.  He was sentenced to five years probation.

-Thomas J. Jefferson, dob 6/8/80 of 58444 Allen St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to Possession of Cocaine.  He was sentenced to five years probation.

-Maurice Lowery, dob 2/9/75, 57960 Limburg St., Plaquemine, pled guilty to Purse Snatching.  He was sentenced to one year probation.

-Desmond Maxon, dob 6/22/89, 4404 Marchard Rd., Darrow, LA, pled guilty to Felony Theft over $1500.  He was sentenced to three years probation.

-Silas M. Rogers, dob 3/25/49, 6966 Sutton Dr., Baton Rouge, pled guilty to Obscenity.  He was sentenced to three years probation.

-Coderral Williams, dob 8/24/87, of Hunts Correctinal Center, pled guilty to Obscenity.  He was sentenced to six months in the Department of Corrections.

-Frank Floyd, dob 6/15/79, 33195 Hwy. 75, Plaquemine, pled guilty to Simple Burglary.  He was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections.

-Gerald York, dob 12/1/73, 6325 Plantation Dr., St. Gabriel, pled guilty to possession of Cocaine.  He imposed a sentenced of 42 months in the Department of Corrections.

-Calvin Weatherford, dob 12/7/84, 77220 Rosedale Road, Rosedale, pled guilty to Simple Burglary.  He was sentenced to ten years in the Department of Corrections.

-Viola Sauceda Garcia, dob 11/25/91, 2184 El Cielo, Brownsville, pled guilty to Possession of Cocaine greater than 200 but less than 400 grams.  She was sentenced of ten years in the Department of Corrections.

-Leroy Smith, dob 8/31/71, 8511 Rush Avenue, Apt. A, Baton Rouge, pled guilty to Possession of Marijuana – Second Offense.  He was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections.
