12th Annual Green Devil Classic held at The Island Golf Club
PLAQUEMINE – The Island Country Club and Golf Course hosted the 12th Annual Green Devil Golf Classic on April 29.
"We had a real good turnout," Plaquemine athletic director Scott Allen said. "We had 18 teams and over 60 sponsors."
The event provides funds for the athletic department at Plaquemine High School, according to Allen.
G.W. Son's winning team of Baco Romero, Brian Romero, Monty Migliacio and Bo LeBlanc claimed the tournament with a first-place score of 55.
Side Porch Daiquiris placed second with a score of 56.
Son and Jimbo Cox cooked for the event and door prizes were presented.
"Jimbo, the steaks were awesome," Luke Ferachi said.
