Deputies rescue man from Bayou Plaquemine

PLAQUEMINE - Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi announced April 29 that due to the heroic efforts of two deputies a Plaquemine man has been rescued from Bayou Plaquemine.

Lieutenant Monty Miglacio and Lieutenant Jeff Zettlemoyer with the aid of two other deputies entered Bayou Plaquemine and pulled a semiconscious man to the bank.

The man was transported to a Baton Rouge hospital where he received treatment.

Stassi has been in contact with the family of the man and he is expected to make a full recovery.
