High school graduations this week

PLAQUEMINE – Every high school in Iberville Parish is celebrating commencement this week.

Graduations began Wednesday and will run through Friday.

MSA-West held graduation ceremonies Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. in the school's Orchestra Building on campus. The valedictorian is Sarah Barker and the salutatorian is Kaci Rodriquez.

St. John the Evangelist High School will hold commencement Thursday, May 16 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Procession begins at 6:50 p.m. followed by Mass at 7 p.m. Diana Uong is valedictorian and Malori Bezet is salutatorian.

MSA-East will also hold graduation ceremonies Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. in the school's cafetorium. The valedictorian is Xuan Thi Tran and the salutatorian is Anthony Jamarc Sanchez.

White Castle High School's commencement will be held Friday, May 17 in the school gymnasium at 7 p.m. Valedictorian is Shetamian Wilson and salutatorian is Meaghan Overstreet.

East Iberville High School will also hold commencement on Friday, May 17 in the school gymnasium at 7 p.m. Valedictorian is Marlana Stewart.

Plaquemine High School's graduation will be held Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at Andrew Canova Stadium.
