PLAQUEMINE - Kelsa Brook Elizabeth Jackson graduated from Plaquemine Senior High School May 17 as Magna Cum Laude, where she ranked No. 4 in her class.

Jackson was able to graduate in the 11th grades because of her hard work and diligence.

While at Plaquemine, she was a Beta Club member, cheerleader, 4-H Club member and a Platinum Scholar. She also received the Louisiana Tops Scholarship, the Charles Sansoni Jr. Scholarship and the LA Gear Up Scholarship.

Jackson plans to continue her matriculation by attending Southern University in the fall. Her lifelong dream is to become a registered nurse.

Jackson is the daughter of Brekeitha Jackson and Lamonte and Ayesha Dempsey. She is the granddaughter of Glenda and Frank Jackson and Marva Dempsey Harris.
