PLAQUEMINE – The Plaquemine Service League celebrated its 55th year of service to the Plaquemine community at its annual May Social.

12 community events received assistance from the League with a total of 640 volunteer hours. This year's soiree was held at the historic home of Colleen and Jacob Wilbert.

League members and their spouses enjoyed a cocktail buffet and a beautiful patio reception.

The league bid a thankful farewell to four outstanding members, Pam Boudin, Jeanne Burns, Catherine Chustz and Hillary Garner. They proudly dedicated their service for the past 10 years.

The league welcomed five new members, Kristy Brignac, Elizabeth Engolio, Jackie Hartman, Jessica King and Nealey LeBlanc.

Special guests included associate members Carolyn LeBlanc, Jody Wilbert, Mickey Wilbert and Lee Ann Howard.

The league looks forward to its 55th year of continued service to the Plaquemine community.
