Iberville Museum to host presentation on River Road Aug. 24

PLAQUEMINE - Mary Ann Sternberg, a longtime feature writer and nonfiction author, will conduct a presentation featuring anecdotes from the rich history of Louisiana's River Road at the Iberville Museum on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m.
Sternberg, a New Orleans native and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, has lived along the Mississippi River for most of her life.
Much of her writing has focused on Louisiana's remarkable history and culture but she has also written about natural history, travel, arts, food and personal experience. Her bylines have appeared in magazines and newspapers.
Sternberg is the author of six books. The latest of these are River Road Rambler and Along the River Road, 3rd edition, both from the LSU Press.
Admission is free.
The museum is located at 57735 Main Street in Plaquemine.
