8th Annual Oldies But Goodies Fest set for Sept. 15

PORT ALLEN - The West Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau announces that plans are underway for the 8th Annual "Oldies But Goodies Fest & Smokin' Oldies BBQ Cook-Off set for Sunday, Sept. 15 from noon – 6 p.m.
This event is sanctioned by the (IBCA) International Barbeque Cookers Association and is a State Championship Cook-Off offering over $6,600 in prize money.
The public is invited to join the fun, watch the participants, and volunteer to be a BBQ judge or to purchase BBQ plates to benefit The Dream Day Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Music will be provided by Classic Sounds by Jude. Louisiana Food and Beverage vendors will be on site as well. A BBQ Shrimp contest has been added on Friday night, for contestants to participate with an additional $1,000 in prize money awarded.

Both the Smokin` Oldies Cook-Off, Saturday, September 14th, and the Oldies But Goodies Fest on Sunday, September 15th, is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
