Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra announces 2013-2014 season

BATON ROUGE - For the 65th year, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce another season of great classical music to be performed in the Capital City.

The 2013-2014 Investar Bank Masterworks season will consist of seven concerts on Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m. at the Baton Rouge River Center Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Opening Night is scheduled for October 17, 2013 and Closing Night is scheduled for May 8, 2014.

Music Director Timothy Muffitt looks forward to his 15th season in Baton Rouge.

"We, as listeners and performers of symphonic music, are blessed with an extraordinary wealth of great music, and each season we put together a mix of the old favorites and a few works from off the beaten path," Muffitt said. "I think you will love what is in store! It is such a pleasure and privilege for me to share the stage with these great musicians… a source of great pride for our city."
