Plaquemine PD arrests armed robbery suspect

PLAQUEMINE – The City of Plaquemine Police Department arrested Jonathan Johnson, 21, of 32445 Maggio St., White Castle on Aug. 24.

Johnson, a suspect in an Aug. 9 armed robbery, was charged with aggravated battery and armed robbery.

According to police, Johnson approached the victim as she was exiting her Beauty Salon on LaBauve Ave. in Plaquemine and hit her several times with the weapon robbing her of cash and personal items.

A 15-year-old female and 14-year-old male, both juveniles, were also arrested and charged with accessory to aggravated battery and accessory to armed robbery.

The incident was placed with Crime Stoppers during the investigations.

Both juveniles are being detained in Assumption Parish Juvenile Detention Center.

Johnson is being held at the Iberville Parish Jail on a bond set at $250,000.
