DOTD announces road closure in Donaldsonville

BATON ROUGE –The Union Pacific Railroad needs to work on their overpass of La. 1 in Donaldsonville.

The road will be closed for this work starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 - Thursday, Sept. 5 and again on Monday, Sept. 9 - Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

Detour is as follows:

South bound - right on La. 308 (Lafourche St.), then a right on La. 943 to La. 1

North bound - right on La. 943, then a left on La 308 to La 3089.
