BATON ROUGE – There was a changing of the guard during the September Board of Supervisors meeting. Hank Danos’ term as chairman came to an end and chair-elect Robert “Bobby” Yarborough was sworn in to begin his one-year term as chairman. In addition, Ann Duplessis was selected as chair-elect and will succeed Yarborough when his term ends next year.

Danos had served as chair of the LSU Board of Supervisors since December 2011, following the passing of then-chair Benjamin Mount. Per board regulations, Danos finished Mount’s term and then served his own term as chair.

Yarborough is the CEO/Co-Owner of Manda Fine Meats. He is the member-at-large of the LSU Board, and his term of service ends June 1, 2014. He attended Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1976.
